Well-structured rehab for common injuries like ankle sprains and hamstring strains is crucial for long-term performance and re-injury prevention.

Who It Helps

Common sports injuries we see

Sports injury physiotherapy may be right for you if you:

Have knee pain with running, squats or stairs (e.g., patellofemoral pain/runner’s knee). Evidence shows several non-surgical options, including exercise-based approaches, can improve pain and function.

Struggle with Achilles or patellar tendon pain that flares with jumping, sprinting or hill running—often requiring progressive tendon loading and staged return.

Have had a recent ankle sprain and want to rebuild stability, strength and confidence for cutting and change-of-direction.

Are dealing with hamstring or calf strains and want a structured return-to-running plan instead of guessing week to week.

Are recovering from ACL, meniscus or other knee surgery and need criteria-based rehab to return to sport with confidence.

Play field, court, endurance or gym-based sports and want a plan that fits your training calendar, workload and goals.

How It Works

Your pathway back to sport

Every appointment is structured around your story. Below is how we work together to get you back to what matters.

01.

Assessment

We start with your sport and your goals, then zoom into the injury. Your physio will:

Review how the injury started, what aggravates it and what you need to return to

Assess mobility, strength, control and relevant sport-specific tasks

Look for contributing factors (training load changes, technique, previous injury history)

Explain the likely diagnosis and a realistic return-to-play plan

02.

Treatment

Your plan may include: Manual therapy where appropriate to reduce pain and restore movement

A progressive strengthening and conditioning program

Movement retraining for running, jumping, landing or change-of-direction

Load management and training modifications that keep you active where safe

A simple home/gym plan reviewed and progressed regularly

03.

Progress

At follow-ups we:

Re-test measurable markers (strength, control, tolerance to impact)

Progress your program toward your sport’s real demands

Use staged return-to-running/return-to-training frameworks

Adjust quickly if flare-ups occur to keep momentum and confidence
